TLG celebration

Already one month.

The Looking Glass was born one month ago, one month!

It is worth a celebration, and a musical one with the singer Sojurn Rossini (It is written on the invitation card)

Sojurn Who?
Sojurn Rossini, I have no idea who is this guy, one good reason to go to the party.

The roof of TLG

When I arrive, at around 10:30 my time, there are few people on the roof of The Looking Glass Head Quarter

I hide my aviself behind some vegetation (I am shy and I know nobody here) and wait for the party to begin at 2PM SLT sharp.

Sojurn's back
The singer is rehearsing his chords, at least I think it is what he is doing, I am not a music specialist.

What is his name, let me think again...

Sojurn's face
Ah yes! Sojurn Rossini.

Like the Tournedos Rossini, I should remember now the last name, and as for the first name it is more difficult, I have to think about it deeper, another time.

Nice songs indeed, too bad that I don't understand enough English, it's my problem, my ears are not used to this peculiar language.

But I like the music:)

Crowd
The place is now pretty crowded.

All the readers of TLG are dancing on the roof.

Bad joke, I know;)

Actually many are watching the show on their flat screen television because they couldn't come due to the (damn'd) lag.

More seriously, the roof is glass-made, so that people can look through the floor (do you follow me...?) and therefore it cannot bear too many people without shattering.

Sammi
The transparency has sometimes an advantage, so I could see my friend Sammi who was sitting on an armchair at the first floor.

I sent her this pick and said hello!

She was invited by a friend and didn't know TLG before, now it's OK:)

Caissa
It was late and I had to leave, but I saw among the swarm my friend Caissa.

Oh my God! she looked like saying...

Normal, she is a goddess.

The goddess of Chess.

Who first, O muse, began the bold attack;
The white refulgent, or the mournful black?

I am back, for Thanksgiving!

And here I am again after three days in the realm of the Swiss industry.

Looking at the ceiling, in the same bar, with the same good music playing in my earphones.

Not really the same tune, but the same good music, yes.

Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired.
Jules Renard, (1864 - 1910)

Caissa invites me to three Thanksgiving events tomorrow:

1) AMBROSIA DANCE PARTY THANKSGIVING BLOWOUT (2.00pm - 5.00pm) (hard rock)

2) THANKSGIVING TREASURE HUNT in Corinston (3.00pm)

3) ROMANTIC NIGHTS UNDER THE STARS - SALSA HEAVEN Gentlemen must wear a TUXEDO or a SUIT (Shirt & Tie or including a Vest is possible)
Ladies must wear a long DRESS or a COCKTAIL DRESS
A Mini-Skirt is not allowed

Thanksgiving is a typically American holiday...The lavish meal is a symbol of the fact that abundant consumption is the result and reward of production.
Ayn Rand, US (Russian-born) novelist (1905 - 1982)

Second life fairytale

Is it possible to live a fairytale in our second life? Oh yes I think it is, because here our imagination is unlimited and all of our dreams can become true, even the crazy dreams that we had when we were little girls. My favourite fairytale as a child was Cinderella and because of a strange virtual coincidence this is the fairytale that I lived in my second life.

So this is the story.

Once upon a time, when I was still a newbie I have been invited to a masquerade ball. For one week I was looking every in-world store to find the best outfit, the best hair and it was really excited for me when I arrived. Being a European girl I had to stay awake late in order to attend the ball and actually it was dawn at that time. Already dawn is a magical hour so the virtual fairytale begins.

When our virtual Cinderella entered the ballroom at the palace, a hush fell. Everyone stopped in mid-sentence to admire her elegance, her beauty and grace. "Who can that be? » people asked each other “She must be for sure a foreign princess”. When the prince set eyes on her, he was struck by her beauty. Walking over to her, he bowed deeply and asked her to dance.

What happened next?

Here in second life we write our own stories and of course the end can be different than “they lived happily ever after”, but what is more important? To live a fairytale or not to live it at all.

And I finish my story with the quote of Alfred Lord Tennyson
'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

Caissa, a goddess in Second Life?

Perhaps the Queen of Second Life has appeared to me in blue at The Blarney Stone Irish Bar?

You can find her at The Looking Glass, but if you have some imagination you can also try at Caissa chess site
She whispered to me :
It's a great huge game of chess that's being played - all over the world - if this is the world at all, you know. Oh, what fun it is! How I wish I was one of them! I wouldn't mind being a Pawn, if only I might join - though of course I should like to be a Queen, best.

I hate the word housewife; I don't like the word home-maker either. I want to be called Domestic Goddess.
Roseanne Barr

Oh! by the way, if you wish to be alone and quiet at The Blarney Stone Irish Bar you have a good place where to go.

Today you can go to a gas station and find the cash register open and the toilets locked. They must think toilet paper is worth more than money.
