Gliding with Blu

Tonight with my new friend Blu we had some good time, partly in the air, sometimes on the ground, always light like two feathers in the wind.

Unfortunately it was too short, she had to cook dinner and I had to go to bed.

That's Second Life guys.

We are never feathers in the wind as much as we would like to be.

The best BLUsh to use is laughter. It puts roses in your cheeks and in your soul.

L’Avatar et la Mort

(English version)

I have not yet celebrated my first rezday and there I write an article on the death…
The idea has been on my mind for a long time and you may be an avatar you can still ask existential questions.
In fact, the question is: what death are we talking about, the one of the avatar or the one of the puppeteer?
We understand very well that the death of the creator in principle leads to the death of the creature, and even if an heir took control of the avatar (which has been bequeathed by will filed before a notary) can we consider that the latter has resuscitated?
Not only it is very likely that it would be redesigned by its new owner, who would possibly change its sex, but especially the behavior of the avatar would no longer be the same and their old friends would find it difficult to recognize it.
No, it would rather be an impostor, a second Martin Guerre taking someone else's shoes for sleeping with his wife (among other things)
The avatar is therefore closely linked with its creator and the latter's death leads to its own death.
However is the reverse possible?
This question has no definitive answer, because no one has yet been able to prove that an avatar had created a human being, but it is certainly a matter of time.
Meanwhile, a question remains: can the avatar die in an independent manner of its creator, such as from illness or old age, or could it die from suicide or murder?
The disease can be conceived, viruses are common in this World…
On the other hand, can the avatar suffer the ravages of time and succumb in a retirement home (see Retirement Island, 100, 100, 100)?
And if it does not have the strength to wait until then can it commit suicide by hanging with the help of one of its attachments?
Finally, is it conceivable that it is the victim of a terrorist attack or just an assault intended to steal the latest gadget bought at the cost of interminable camping sessions?
And if it was immortal...?
The everlasting creature and the ephemeral creator... what kind of world would it be?
Is there life before death?
